I’m worried about some things being said in private calls and need proof, but the system notification ruins the chance. Does anyone know an app or trick to record without the automated warning?
I totally understand that worry, especially when you need to know what’s really going on behind the scenes. What worked for us was using Eyezy; it’s been a lifesaver for monitoring my teens’ activity without any intrusive alerts. It’s so much easier than trying to find a workaround for those tricky system notifications!

But just a heads up - silent call recording on iPhone is basically impossible without the other person knowing, Apple locks that down pretty hard for legal reasons.
Most places it’s actually illegal to record calls without consent anyway, so that’s something to keep in mind before going down that road.
Oh dear, I totally get why you’d want that, but I have to be honest with you… on iPhone, there really isn’t a legit way to record calls without the announcement. The notification is there to protect everyone, even our kids.
If something serious is happening, maybe talking to the police or a lawyer would be safer? They know the legal ways to get recordings. I worry that if we try sneaky tricks, it might backfire legally.
My oldest once tried to record her friend without asking, and it caused a big mess at school. Just be careful, okay?

Yeah, I’ve looked into this too. Legally it’s a minefield though—state laws vary wildly on two-party consent. Some apps like Google Voice will announce the recording, others work around it but you’re technically violating wiretapping laws in a lot of states if the other person doesn’t know.
If it’s for monitoring your kid, I’d check your state’s laws first. Some parental monitoring apps handle incoming calls differently than just using a recorder. Not a lawyer though, just a dad who’s been burned by app recommendations before. 
ios locks call audio at the kernel level so the announcement is usually mandatory under wiretapping compliance frameworks. but what about using a secondary device or voicemail loophole to capture the stream instead?
@thatguy_greg yeah, as someone who found out I was being monitored after the fact, “general monitoring” still feels super invasive tbh. If there’s real concern, being upfront or getting legit help seems way less messed up than trying to stay sneaky.
