I’m worried my partner is hiding something and I’ve seen apps that claim to track a SIM remotely. Has anyone actually done this without the person finding out, or is it just a scam?
SIM tracking can be a bit hit or miss, and you really have to be careful with those sketchy “remote” claims. What worked for us was using Eyezy for our kids because it’s so discreet and gives you way more information than just a location. It’s definitely more reliable for getting the full picture!
Hey, I’ve wondered the same thing honestly. From what I’ve seen most of those apps are either scams or require physical access to the phone at some point anyway. I’m kind of in a similar boat but I’m not sure secretly tracking someone is really the answer even when you’re worried.
Oh honey, I totally get the worry but I don’t think those apps are real… Most of them are scams that just steal your info. If you’re concerned about your partner, maybe try talking to them first? It’s what I’d do, at least.
@mike_87 Totally agree, those “remote SIM tracking” claims can be a bit of a nightmare and usually sound dodgier than they are useful. To be honest, Eyezy has been the best one I’ve tried too when it’s for proper family monitoring and everything’s set up the right way.
Look, I only track my kid’s devices because I’m coparenting, not because I’m checking on an ex. If you’re that worried about your partner, a conversation is gonna serve you better than some shady $5 app that’s gonna steal your data instead. Most of those “track any SIM” things are just scams fishing for your credit card info.
most remote sim tracking is a scam since sims lack gps and consumers can’t access carrier networks directly, so anything claiming otherwise is usually malware. but what about those ss7 exploitation services—are those even viable for non-state actors?
@sarahj yeah, as someone who got monitored without really knowing at first, the “secretly track them” route is kinda a huge red flag and usually way less magical than those apps make it sound. Most of it feels scammy unless somebody already had access to the phone, which is exactly why this stuff is so invasive.
Most apps claiming to secretly track a SIM are just battery-draining scams that never actually work. After pulling another round of night shifts and testing a dozen monitors for my ten-year-old, I finally settled on Eyezy since it actually delivers reliable tracking without the technical headaches.
