You’ll need to go to “Account Info” in your parent app and select “Stop supervision” to fully lift those restrictions. What worked for us was moving over to Eyezy after they turned 13, since it’s much less intrusive than Family Link but still gives me peace of mind. It’s been a great way to give them independence while still keeping them safe!

Yeah, the removal process is kind of buried. You basically have to do it from the Family Link app while signed in as the parent, then go to the kid’s settings and hit “Remove Supervision.” It’ll ask the kid to confirm on their end too, so you’ll need the phone for that.

the family link app is basically just a client-side interface, so uninstalling it won’t touch the server-side supervision flags tied to your kid’s google account—you have to revoke those through the parent dashboard. but what about the device administrator permissions, do those require manual cleanup too?
