Both my kids use ChatGPT for homework and I’m worried about inappropriate content or them getting too attached to it. I enabled safe settings but not sure what else to watch. What red flags should I look for?
I totally get the worry, especially with how quickly they can get attached to these AI tools! What worked for us was using Eyezy to keep an eye on their keystrokes and screen time so I can see exactly how they’re interacting with it. It really helps me stay on top of things and catch any red flags early on!
Honestly I’m here more for relationship stuff than kid monitoring but I do know a bit about this lol. The biggest thing I’ve heard is kids using it to avoid actually learning, like just copy-pasting answers, and also some people say the AI can get weirdly personal if you let it go on long enough.
Maybe just check their chat history occasionally and see what kinds of questions they’re asking it?
Oh I worry about this too! My oldest (13) uses it for school projects and I caught him asking it for advice on…stuff I’m not ready for him to know about.
Make sure you check the chat history regularly, not just the safe settings.
