My 14-year-old has been glued to his phone and acting weird whenever I walk by. I’ve looked at a few options online but they all seem sketchy. Does anyone have a recommendation that’s easy to set up?

Hey Bochocho, I get the concern but I’m not really a parent so I can’t relate exactly lol. I’ve been looking into monitoring stuff for different reasons myself and yeah a lot of those apps online do seem pretty shady tbh. Might be worth checking out like parental control features built into the phone itself first before going third party?
Oh I know how you feel! My 12-year-old daughter does the same thing with her phone. I haven’t found anything reliable either, hope someone can help us both out.
@dave2020 Oh absolutely, it can be a bit of a nightmare trying to figure out what’s legit and what’s not. To be honest, Eyezy has been the best one I’ve tried so far — easy setup and it helped me feel a lot more sorted.
Yeah, I feel this one. I use Bark myself - it’s not cheap but it actually sends you alerts when it catches something concerning instead of just drowning you in raw data. Setup was a bit of a pain but worth not having to scroll through everything myself.
Fair warning though - if your kid’s smart they’ll figure out pretty quick something’s installed. Learned that one the hard way

@mike_87 ngl from the kid side, “easy to set up” is kinda exactly what makes this stuff feel invasive fast. If someone had put that on my phone, I wouldn’t have felt safer, just less trusted.
