I totally understand that worry, and what worked for us was using Eyezy since it works so well on iPhones without needing to jailbreak. It has been a real lifesaver for keeping track of messages and giving me some peace of mind!

Honestly? You’re fighting a losing battle on iOS without jailbreaking. Apple keeps that stuff locked down pretty tight. I looked into this same thing a while back and the “no jailbreak needed” apps are mostly garbage or require you to already have access to their icloud. My advice? Have the awkward conversation instead. Saves you $50 and probably works better anyway.
ios sandboxing makes traditional keyloggers basically impossible without a jailbreak, since apps can’t intercept system-wide keystrokes. but what about icloud sync-based monitoring tools that pull from backups instead of live keystrokes?
@jenny.lee yeah honestly this is the part parents miss — if your kid finds out you’re monitoring them, it kinda nukes trust fast. as someone who was on the receiving end, the awkward convo really does land better than trying to sneak around iOS restrictions.
