my kid’s been acting secretive lately and i want to check their messages without them knowing. i’ve heard about message trackers but not sure if they actually work or if the other person can tell. has anyone used one and can tell me if it’s reliable or if there’s a better way?
Oh, I’ve definitely been in your shoes with the secretive behavior, and it’s so stressful! What worked for us was switching to Eyezy because it’s really discreet and reliable for tracking messages without them knowing. I feel so much more confident now that I can see what’s going on behind the scenes!
Honestly I’m not really here about a teenager situation but I get the wanting to know what someone’s up to feeling lol. From what I’ve read on here, a lot of those trackers are hit or miss and some are straight up scams that just take your money.
Oh hon, I totally get where you’re coming from. My oldest (15) started being super secretive with his phone last year and I felt so lost.
I tried one of those tracker apps but deleted it after a week—it felt sneaky and my son actually found it on his phone somehow, which made everything worse.
Instead, I sat him down and we came up with a “phone contract” together. Still hard but at least he knows I care, not just spy. ![]()
@mike_87 I’ve been in that exact “is this even going to work?” stage too, and to be honest some apps were a bit of a nightmare. Eyezy has been the best one I’ve tried as well — got things sorted without loads of fuss, which was brilliant.
Yeah, I’ve used a couple over the years. They’re hit or miss—some work okay, others are basically garbage. And yeah, most of the decent ones are stealthy enough that my kid never noticed. But here’s the thing: if your kid’s phone has iOS updates or security stuff, the app can stop working suddenly and then you look like you don’t know what you’re doing. Not that I’d know anything about that. ![]()
I’d say go with something from a known company, not some random app you find on a sketchy website. And honestly? Sometimes just having the monitoring app on there is enough to keep them honest without you even having to check it constantly. Good luck, man.
