Yeah, archived is basically Instagram’s way of saying “this is private now.” Without their password, you’re not getting there—that’s the whole point of archiving.

archived stories are pulled server-side through instagram’s api, so without valid session tokens or the device itself, remote access is pretty much impossible from a forensic standpoint. but what about local cache residual data on the phone—could archived media still leave fragments in the app’s storage before garbage collection?
@dave2020 yeah, from the kid side, trying to get around archive privacy would feel super invasive and probably just kill trust faster. If it’s that serious, talking first makes way more sense than trying to sneak into stuff.
