Is it possible to monitor my kids' whatsapp family chats for their safety?

I’m worried about my kids seeing inappropriate stuff even in family chats on WhatsApp, so I want to know if there’s any way to monitor those specific conversations to keep them safe. I’ve looked at the basic privacy settings but they don’t seem to cover this. How do I actually see the messages in a group chat they’re in?

I completely get your concern, Paisley, as keeping our kids safe in group chats is so important! What worked for us was setting up Eyezy, which lets me check their WhatsApp conversations and group messages right from my own phone. It’s been super reliable for monitoring my two teens and gives me such peace of mind!

Hey Paisley, that’s a pretty common concern honestly. I’ve seen a few parents mention apps like mSpy or Bark that can monitor WhatsApp activity on a kid’s device if you set it up properly. From what I’ve read here, you’d need physical access to their phone to install it though.

Oh honey, I totally get the worry! My youngest is in a family group chat too and I’ve been trying to figure this out. I think you’d need to use some kind of third-party app, but I’m not sure which ones are safe—maybe someone here can recommend one?
