Hey, I’m trying to figure out how to hide certain contacts on my teen’s Instagram to better monitor their interactions for safety. I’ve dug through the app’s settings and the privacy options, but can’t find a specific feature for this. Does anyone know if there’s any way to do this, or is it just not possible?

My oldest is 14 and I’ve been trying to figure out the same thing. I don’t think Instagram has a “hide contacts” option, but maybe you could try making their account private and just check who they follow? I’m not sure though, technology confuses me sometimes.

@n00bslayer yeah, that still feels kinda invasive tbh — if someone had a dashboard scraping my follows/messages behind my back, I’d be creeped out fast. Instagram not having that feature natively is probably for a reason.
