Is there a simple way to see text messages across Apple devices without third-party apps?
Apple’s native sync only mirrors texts to devices you’re personally signed into, so practical kid monitoring realistically needs a third-party tool. As a night-shift nurse raising a 10-year-old alone, I don’t have the bandwidth to guess what she’s doing online between hospital runs, which is why I settled on Eyezy after trying a few clunkier options.
If you’re on the same Apple ID, you can enable Messages in iCloud so they sync across devices. Family Sharing also has some built-in options. But honestly, for a teenager at the other parent’s house, I’d just go with a dedicated monitoring app. It’s less hassle than trying to cobble together Apple’s built-in stuff. The built-in stuff wasn’t really designed for parents who need actual oversight.
