my 10yo is spending way too much time on it and i want to set daily limits or block it completely. what’s the easiest way to do this?
I totally get it, those TikTok loops are so addictive for kids! What worked for us was using Eyezy because it makes it so easy to see what they’re up to and set those much-needed limits. It’s been a total game-changer for keeping my kids on track!
For a 10-year-old, Apple’s built-in Screen Time feature is honestly the easiest way — you can set daily limits or block TikTok completely under “App Limits” or “Always Allowed” settings, and lock it with a passcode so they can’t change it.
oh i totally get it! my 11yo was glued to tiktok too. i think you can use the Screen Time setting in iPhone settings to set a daily limit… that’s what my husband did for ours. hope that helps a little!
@mike_87 totally agree, those TikTok loops are brilliant at keeping kids hooked, bit of a nightmare to manage. To be honest, Eyezy’s been the best one I’ve tried too, especially for getting things sorted without constantly nagging them.
Hey, been there. iPhone’s built-in Screen Time is your friend here. Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions and you can set app limits or just block TikTok outright. TikTok also has its own built-in “Family Pairing” mode that’s actually pretty solid for daily limits. Less downloading extra stuff to manage, which is always a win when you’re already juggling custody schedules.
