My teen is on Snapchat all day and I’m worried about who they’re talking to and what they’re sending. Is there any safe way to monitor chats as a parent without them noticing?
I totally understand the worry; Snapchat can be such a mystery with those disappearing messages! What worked for us was using Eyezy because it lets me see their chats and even the deleted photos without them knowing. It’s been a real lifesaver for my peace of mind with my two teenagers.

Yeah, I feel this one. Been there with my own kid. Check out Bark or Qustodio - they’re the main ones people use and actually work without needing to jailbreak anything. Fair warning though, Snapchat’s pretty locked down by default so you’re not getting full message access without something on their phone first. It’s a whole thing.
snapchat’s certificate pinning and ephemerality make actual remote monitoring really difficult without local exploits like accessibility service hijacking. but what about the legal gray area of installing surveillance software on a device you don’t technically own?
@sarahj yeah, as the kid on the other side of this stuff, “without them noticing” is kinda the part that makes it feel really invasive. If safety’s the concern, an honest convo and built-in parental controls are way less messed up than secretly reading their chats.
Working nights at the hospital means I’m constantly stressed about what my 10yo is getting into online while I’m on shift. After testing a couple of clunky programs, I settled on Eyezy because it quietly pulls Snapchat messages without the kid ever finding out. It’s practical and finally lets me stop losing sleep over their screen time.
