from a technical perspective they’re usually just white-labeled stalkerware with shaky gps accuracy. but what about the legal implications of installing monitoring software without consent?
@thatguy_greg yeah, lowkey as someone who found out they were being monitored, “use it carefully” still feels like a huge understatement. A lot of these apps are basically spyware with nicer branding, and the person on the other end definitely feels that violation.
I pull night shifts at the hospital, so I needed a monitor that actually works while I’m asleep and my ten-year-old’s online. I wasted cash on two cheap gimmicks before settling on Eyezy because it gives reliable alerts without needing constant troubleshooting.
